Psychiatric service dog

A psychiatric service dog letter, written after a real consultation.

$99 for the PSD letter and consultation. $199 if you need it alongside an ESA letter for housing. A licensed clinician documents the disability and the tasks — no certificates, no registry, no vests sold as requirements.

ESA vs PSD

Two different documents, two different jobs.

  • An ESA letter supports a housing accommodation request for an animal that helps by its presence. No training is required.
  • A PSD letter records a psychiatric disability and the trained tasks a dog performs to mitigate it.
  • Public access comes from the ADA and the dog's training, not from any document we or anyone else can sell you.
  • Many people need both — the combination price covers the two letters and both consultations.

FAQ

PSD questions.

What is a psychiatric service dog letter?

It is documentation from a licensed mental-health clinician confirming that you have a psychiatric disability and that your dog is trained to perform tasks that mitigate it. Unlike an emotional support animal, a psychiatric service dog is trained to do specific work, and that distinction is what the letter records.

Is a PSD letter legally required?

The Americans with Disabilities Act does not require documentation for public access, and businesses may not demand it. A letter is useful for housing accommodation requests, for employers, and for programs and trainers that ask for clinical confirmation before working with you.

What does a PSD letter cost here?

$99 for the letter and the consultation together. If you also need an ESA letter for housing, the combination is $199, which includes both consultations.

Does my dog need to be trained already?

Your clinician documents the psychiatric disability and the disability-related tasks. Training the dog to perform those tasks reliably is separate work, done by you or a trainer. We do not certify or register dogs, because no body legitimately does.
